Sometimes relationships are based on convenience, not true love, so it’s all about the smooth running of the household, like an office or shop, I say why not !?

Because love nourishes the soul, not the purse.

There’s nothing wrong in making love a convenience, it’s your life do what you want with it. As someone once said, “love” today is mostly a mutual benefit scheme between two people; you give me this, I give you that. “Love” is simply a tool for your survival, your needs and wants. Two people using each other for their own purposes. If you think it’s otherwise, you haven’t really observed your wife/husband or boyfriend/girlfriend.

But for some people, that’s not what life is all about; it’s more than a mere human trade. Love is not about survival, it’s about living. If you are not interested in life and are only concerned with survival, love is not for you. It is best you stay away from it. However, for me, I feel that at least one aspect of my life should not be based on trade because I have been fortunate enough to taste the “benefits” of love or as I call it, devotion.

Devotion can’t be taught unless it comes naturally to you. If and when you find something or someone who you think is higher than yourself, you will become devoted. You will put their needs and wants before yours, you will worship and bow down to that/them. You will make yourself little and insignificant infront of this thing or person. That is devotion. And devotion has its own rewards if that’s what you are looking out of life. So it’s completely different from survival or trade, in fact it’s the opposite. Some people enjoy devotion because it gives them life, meaning and purpose. They are looking for fulfilment from life , not just survival. Even animals can survive (more efficiently than humans) and reproduce and eat, there’s not need to become human if you just want to survive.

Concept of true love is interesting. True Love is based on emotions. If someone fulfils your emotional needs, you become romantic and that’s seen as Love. That’s a good place to start if you want to love and become devoted, but if tomorrow your lover doesn’t fulfil your emotional needs, love is dead as there’s is no more trade.

I want to take love in my own hands. Love should come from me and it is totally up to me if I Love or not. it’s not about what someone else did for me or didn’t or whether they hate me or love me. I choose whether I love or I don’t. And if you were to do this( If you are interested Or willing to try) you would see that those who love, reap its reward. The act of you loving unconditionally IS the reward.
