She’s two and still soaring on her holiday gifts of jewel toned glitter eggs filled with dinosaur and turtle gummies, slaps me as I’m trying to get her ready for bed because I am interrupting her favorite show, Paw Patrol. I turn the show off and tell her she’s not finishing it now and carry the crying toddler to her room under my arm. Turning out the lights and turning on her nightlight I explain why I’m not letting her finish the episode after I told her she could and leave the room. She cries for a few minutes before I come back in, tell her I love her even though we fought and re-tuck her in. I rub her back for a minute, she’s calm now and I talk about our plans for tomorrow and leave her to her color changing walls.

Amazon Prime is promoting Valerian and the city of a thousand planets. It looks promising, I was going to draw for a bit but it seems like it’d be a shame if I didn’t take in what looks to be a masterfully crafted piece.
