“Love isn’t a decision. It’s a feeling. If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but much less magical.”

Sorry T. Parker but you are only half correct.

Love is an uncontrollable feeling that forces the decision making process upon a person. A person that loves must decide upon the knowledge. They must decide to accept or reject the feeling. To act upon or ignore the feeling. To commit to this feeling or run from it.

Love is a feeling but once it is recognized by the brain….a person decides to love or not to love. Love is a conscious decision made upon feeling. Each combined is what love is

I love milk. Doesn’t mean I drink it.
I love animals. Doesn’t mean I live like Ace Ventura.

Just because I have feelings for a person does not mean that person is healthy for my life. A decision must take place. I must decide to make commitment to loving that person.

To love or not to love?
That’s a better topic to debate.
