It’s always up to me, isn’t it?

If I want communication, I have to begin the dialogue. I have to seek someone out. I have to put forward some plans and hope they sound interesting enough to be set.

The most accurate gauge of someone’s interest in another is how much effort is put into starting and maintaining a bond. It was me who tried to get things started years ago, without success. Now I have to hear from mutual acquaintances that you do want me, but how can I believe that when there’s no phone call and no email.

There was no effort or enthusiasm on your part.

Don’t tell me I left when you weren’t even there.

Don’t do it. When you read relationship advice from men as opposed to women – they all say – if he really wanted to be in your life – he would be. You would know about it. He would be calling and coming around. He wouldn’t be sitting on his arse waiting for you to propose stuff OR communication in a roundabout manner through acquaintances. That shows he is either A. lazy or B. massively immature. You want neither of those things. Actually getting into a relationship with someone like that becomes soul destroying. Move on.
