• A good story

I really enjoy when media culture wittingly or not makes a good joke that connects us with centuries of storytelling, or makes associate or think on things we might not have paired together before.

One that really got me going was Anais Mitchell using Our Lady of the Underground for her song Persephone. It wasn’t until I heard this again on the magicians when the characters are trying to track down the old gods that I looked up what it’s tie in was. Fun fact, did you know Our Lady of the Underground is a title in reference to the virgin Mary being said to have spent a portion of time living in a subterranean chapel.

I get totally into these sort of historical parallels that you are used as story telling devices and in a way as little jokes when you are able to see these things together.
