How do you do this to me,
I thought I was finally free.
I was forgetting you, and now my head is spinning,
You’ve gotten into my head again and now you are winning.
You have me feeling like Alice; lost in Wonderland,
You play me like a deck of cards in your hand.
I don’t know which way to turn,
    Why won’t I ever learn?
Your endless riddles make my head hurt,
But I gotta admit I’ll always be a flirt,
I want to pull away, but I want you closer,
You always knock me down like a bulldozer.
I hate you because of how you make me feel,
I’m starting to believe you are my Achilles’ heel.
You free me from my mind, releasing me to my heart,
You knock me down when I’m feeling too smart.
I feel with my brain, careful to control situations,
Your presence in my life brings implications.
    You bring out my madness,
And help me lose my sadness,
You oddly make me feel protected,
    Despite knowing I’m not respected.
You can’t and don’t feel anything,
So I’m hanging on a string.
And yet I strangely don’t care,
You’re suffocating, but are the source of my air.
We can bend the other to our will,
But somehow, stay the other’s equal.
