I suppose I should be glad that karma is coming your way. Your brother’s wife. Oh, she’ll temporarily let him go. Then she’ll let him back in. They have a child together and she loves him. Where does that leave you? Her crocodile tears took you away from the woman you love and who loved you in return. Some part of you (probably the sober part) understands that anyone who truly cares about you wouldn’t destroy your chance at love. But she did. Karma will bite you both on the ass. Not quite what you expected, is it? Starting to realize what you had and lost. The ball is in your court now. Except with every passing minute, you’re running out of options.

And then? She must really hate you to screw everything up for you like that. Lousy friend, but that’s okay cause you’re just a glorified babysitter for your brother’s kid. While you both numb yourselves with alcohol. She doesn’t love you, she loves your brother. Crocodile tears. She’s not even a true friend. More crocodile tears.

You had true love and you know it as well as I do. The irony.
