    Dear lady,

By now we know each other’s names, but I won’t use it on here. You might be thinking this is a love letter, but it’s not. Yet, to be frank, I am interested in you.

You, while probably just being friendly and doing your job, engage me like no one else who actually is in my life does. We’ve found that we have a mutual interest in certain animals. For me, it’s kind of a passion. Even though our conversations are short and typically impersonal, it brings me joy just talking with you about things of that nature.

I want you to know that I don’t want you to get into trouble for chatting with a customer on the job, so I will try and be a little less “chatty” when I stop in from now on. You probably need your job just as much as anyone who works needs theirs and I don’t want to cause a problem for you.

On a final note, just to touch on me having an attraction to you. I’m probably a bit old for your liking. I am also a father of two, and my life is pretty messy right now. So, I’m telling you this because I don’t want you to feel awkward with the thought that I’m trying to pursue something deeper with you. I’m not. I just really enjoy having someone to share a mutual interest with through brief conversation.

Thank you so much for being kind to an old snake like me. : )
