I wish I said something when I saw you.
When you sat next to me in a half-empty bus.
When we went into the store, and came back to board the same bus back.
When you paused to shoot me that smile, as you left for your stop.
That priceless smile from your handsome face.
I wish I said hello, beautiful stranger.
I wish I got off with you.
I wish I acted on my urge.
I’ll probably never see you again,
unless you find your way to CU campus.
But for now, I taste regret at the memory of you.
