I’m sorry if I overstepped my boundaries. I only wanted to get to know you and to help. I really thought it was mutual and you wanted me there. But now, after all this time, we don’t ever see one another, or spend time together, or even keep in touch, so I know it was temporary. But I do wish you the best. I did my best. I’m not perfect, but I tried. Time marches on. So, Good luck in life and I do hope you have some fond memories. You may not understand and truthfully probably don’t care, but I invested too much to stay. I need to leave quietly. I love you all the same.

But please tell them. Sometimes we just assume things & the person has no idea what’s going on & would care a lot more than you think! Who knows they could be thinking the same thing about you not wanting them there. Before you give up you should always make sure everything is clear. Don’t they deserve that? Doesn’t anyone? It’s just so easy to miscommunicate. It hits home because I’ve exsperieced this too much recently ):
