• Please don’t be in love with someone else

I know it’s been 5 months since you told me you were leaving. That we had to be over. I know we hardly talk and that it’s my fault. But I still dream about you every night that I actually sleep. I am still in love with you. I will always be in love with you. When you see me with other people, you should know that. I’m going to move on, but I will never be in love again. Not like I was with you.

Please don’t have somebody waiting on you

This just about sums up how I’m feeling :-/

But why not tell your person? If you love him/her like you say, and you are asking them not to “be in love with someone else”, then how can you just move on like that?

Sorry, I have to ask because something similar happened to me, and I will never understand it.

      Dear Anonymous,

Because if a person tells you they are leaving and that you can’t be together, if they don’t try to fight for you, did they really ever love you? I have to move on. Because he never loved me the way I loved him. Love him. Will always love him. And even if he somehow decided he wanted to be with me again, I couldn’t. Because I can’t ever be put through that again. That kind of pain makes your heart feel like it shouldn’t go on beating. And the fact that it does is proof that there is a God.
