• Found. Love. Here.

So we wash ashore in waves to this site. We pop the corks off bottles sealed with care, heedless of the tide of emotions rushing in, and read the notes. We dash away saltiness from our eyes, and Write. Seal it with our heart’s blood, toss it out to sea. Then we wait and search. What do we find? More bottles. More stories of others experiencing the same. Stories of love that crosses oceans, of passions fathoms deep. Of treasure found and shared, of pain and endurance of lives ransacked, plundered, and suffering beyond comprehension. And in the ever-rolling depths we see another bottle. Wade in to fetch it, and failing to find succor in rum or reminiscing, find instead relief in shared compassion. For hearts and minds remembering love, or those letting go of damage so the festering the mind can heal, Thank you for being here, for being brave and weathering the storms. I’m wading in to snag another message in a bottle. It reads: Love one another. Happy Valentine’s Day. C
