Let’s be honest: I was always second rate. I’m no beauty, but the things I told you once were so pure and simple that one could never find such ideas and opinions again. You treasure the cheap, the plastic, the easily breakable. I once was the person I thought I was; alas, I’m now the person I thought I would never become. I do tell you now I did sell myself short. I never should have opened you up to my insights, just for you to claim them as that of your own. I’m saddened by your despair as you rot in that “prison” of your mind. Yet, as I dim the kaleidoscope as it shines through my lashes, I sometimes still think of how I once made you smile. And that sickens me.
