I’m thinking about this question as it pertains to my own situation. My first inclination was to say both. But then I realize to have such a strong reaction as hateful feelings must mean the latter.

Thanks. Both feelings stem from the same origin, but does it mean, when I don’t hate my person I don’t love them? Hate is a strong word. I can’t say that I ever truly hated someone. Does it mean I never truly loved someone?

No, I wouldn’t use a blanket statement like that. But if you have to question if you loved someone at all, isn’t that your answer?

I don’t truly hate. It’s a frustration. It’s a lack of control. Some might say you feel no hate because you are a mature, rational person and can love without all the angst involved. I think people have a certain chemistry when coupled. I only know of one person in my life who has ever gotten under my skin. That doesn’t mean I have loved someone less or more.
