There’s pleasure in the pain of you
    It hurts too bad
    To let it go
    There’s layers
and so much depth to you
I want to seek, unravel, explore
    Get past your eyes
    Into your soul
    Sit in your thoughts awhile
    To understand
    And melt within
    The reasons why you smile

There’s pleasure in the pain of you
    You touch my heart
    and leave a scar
    I find my weakness
    And my strength in you
    I drink you in
    To my deepest parts
    A glimpse, a touch
    Your voice, your smell
    I fall apart
    And into you once more

There’s pleasure in the pain of you
My head and heart don’t align
    It’s a constant
    back and forth with you
    Like a pendulum in time
    I close my eyes
    and see your hands
    As if they were
    the back of mine
    As they hold my face
    And push away
And pull me back once more

There’s pleasure in the pain of you
    Forbidden, hidden and locked away
    The rarest strength
    Of dangerous love
Like a wild animal to be tamed

    But in my thoughts
    And in those dreams
    In between breaths
    It will remain
    I’ll taste it there
    And feel it raw
    Pleasure in the pain.
