He’s my friend- for 10 years. We work together. And I think… He knows, which makes me think he doesn’t feel the same.

He has the perfect woman in his head- and I’m not her.

Friendship is a good way to start. Sounds like a keeper. Go for it. Being in your head will never get you anywhere. You’re getting older perhaps you should try to be older and wiser. Go for it. I mean it with everything I am. Don’t waste another microsecond here. I can tell you now it’s a wasted investment of your precious, valuable, limited resource time. Live and love. Make it a journey. The u inverse will back you up. Go. Smile and live and be happy. Or fi d your way there even if its not the route you hoped for or want. It may be a present waiting to be slow.y unwrapped. Be happy

You could ask him out to lunch or something, maybe. If you feel this way about him, why not give it a shot?

How do you know you are not his perfect woman?

We talk everyday- hang out all the time- he’s like a very very close friend. We kinda had sex too… It was incredible but he said it was just a one time thing…

You’re right- we are older, we should seize the opportunities. He has just started dating someone now- so I’m back to being “the supportive pal” again. He is looking to settle down- for Mrs Right… But these women are just “too” perfect for me to even get him to consider looking at me as anything more than his kinda sexy-bit-of-fun friend.

Thank you EVERYONE for your comments- it’s amazing to read.

Perhaps one day he will realize that what he wants in Mrs. Right is a sexy-bit-of-fun friend. You never know. 🙂 I hope for your sake this is the case.

Therapist: thanks… (ish) I do have a life- a big full one… With houses and a career and children and sparkling ambition… I just have one person I’m missing, that I wanna share it all with… And believe me… For me- he’s my someone… Problem is… I don’t think I’m his someone.
