• Dream, again

    I dreamed of you again.
    I saw your smile,
and the tan lines on your thighs
    from summer biking.

You were postured in a chair
against the brick of the patio in your back yard,
    fire in the pit,

And felt your hand in my own.

I felt your lips on mine,
and the soft whisper of your voice
    and laughter
    in my ear,
    as I said something silly.

    Another night,
    awakened to you,
    by you,
    and I reach for you,

    to pull you close,
feel your bosom pressed against me,

    only to find the space,
    of years passed.
