Stuck in a trance since that November:
Haikus and Cinquains, do you remember?
You ditched Statistics and I needed Rit,
We stayed up til sunrise – I’m still missing it.
Fly off to CO with a broken cell,
You changed your flight and skiing went well.
Sushi with Dad and law school is “for sure” –
In your poetic cave we took a tour.
    Intoxicated texting at the bar,
How many times did you see Avatar?
I hope you enjoyed your birthday surprise,
Start the camera, “come peer into my eyes.”
The LSAT, college, & your girlfriend
    My family vacations on weekends
Our duties in life tore us apart,
But I hope you know you’re still in my heart.
Since 1999 I’ve felt this way,
So won’t you be mine again this Christmas day?
