Two seats up in the front of the room, sits a boy with dark hair and dark eyes. There’s not a single thing I wouldn’t do for him. This boy with a crooked nose and bright smile. I’ve never felt so useless. I’ve never felt so wanted. This boy of skin and bones has never been what I expected.

Why did I wait so long? Why didn’t I notice this sooner? This boy with graceful hands and deep laughter. It took all I had to bring it up. and it’s going to keep more than that to keep it going. But I’ll try for you.

I have until May. So bear with me darling. I’m trying my best.

    Yours always,
    the girl two seats back
