I’ve been reading these letters for some time and just want to say, the vast majority of people have had their hearts broken at some time in their lives. Whether it be a parent who doesn’t assume their role, or a boyfriend/girlfriend that truly let’s you down. Most of us have been there.

Sometimes it’s just best to give up on those situations and move on with your life, no matter how hard it seems at the time. Maybe when you feel better about yourself you can go back, or maybe you’ll just decide you are better off in a new situation.

If you are a teenager and you are stuck in that type of home situation just remember it won’t last forever, try to be strong and focus on building ‘your’ life the way you want it to be and try not to let people bring you down. Life is worth every minute.

If you start to believe in yourself, other people will too. Try to focus on the positive.

Believe me I’m older and I’ve been there more than once, you’ll be okay. And please never talk about ending your life, there are people out there that are more than willing to help you, maybe not the people you know now, but there are many, many nice people in the world, and plenty of professional psychologists. If you need help ask for it!
