I’ve been crushing on this guy for awhile now. His non-verbal behavior say he likes me, but he hasn’t gotten the courage to approach me and introduce himself. He tried a few times before, but I freaked out and ran away… Anyway, I tried to move on, but that hasn’t been successful. Well I’m thinking about doing something i’ve never done in my 20 something years of living, ask the guy out via email:
Hi,
This is against everything I believe in and I think I have lost my mind sending this message. However, the idea of regretting is scarier and I refuse to live with that. We only get to live this life once and tomorrow is not promise. With that said, would you like to grab lunch sometime this week?
P.S. This is not a date (merely an invitation to have your lunch in the same location I’m having mine).

Hey, I’m a guy. I would advise that guys are jerks, so just be accepting of whatever his reply is. However, your email may be just what he needs. I’d send it.
I didn’t get a response back. I’m not sad but relief… relief that I don’t have to wonder about “what if?” … It feels good. Well it looks like I will be closing this door and moving on.
