You say you want to die, nothing is beautiful anymore.
You sit weeping, knife in your hand, planning it on the floor.
Alcohols ceased to numb, you’re onto the prescriptions,
You’ve slipped back into the darkness, this time with convictions.
You don’t know why you did it, hurt someone you love so much,
She lays awake depressed, somewhat traumatised but still misses your touch.
She doesn’t hate you, just holds relentless anger inside,
which took over after the initial terror, sadness, hate – all justified.
Initially she couldn’t be alone, the hard front often lies,
drugs, alcohol and work are things she hides behind.
On an emotional level that night, has scarred us both forever,
Choose to heal, forgive and transcend with new endeavours.
She hopes really soon you surpass this dark depression that you’ve attained,
by loving yourself, believing in life and not searching a vent to blame.
Watch a dog run through the park, smile at pictures in the clouds and smell the morning dew.
Remember the beauty in all of life to find the strength, that lays dormant inside of YOU
