I took all these different roads and ended at a crossroads. I chose one direction and ended up at a dead end. You could have changed that, but you didn’t. I miss you. Now I’m forced to go down the other road. No turning back. I wish that you were at the end of that road. But you’re not.

You hurt me more than you know. I still love you. Funny thing is I’ll still be looking for you down this new road for a while, but maybe just maybe the longer I travel the more your face will disappear from my heart. But perhaps I’m just fooling myself. Maybe that will be a dead end too that leads me straight back to you. All I know is that I’ve got to keep on going either way.

There is a saying let love go and if it comes back to you, you know that it is yours. Does it apply in this case?
