I hear you calling out to me from across the River of Loneliness, where two hearts long to be united for the first time, and the last time, never to be separated. A barely audible whisper, but I know you’re there, beckoning me to a beautiful ever after. But the current is too strong for me to cross this river, to cross into the land in which you dwell and find your smiling face and watch the blood rush into your rosy cheeks as soon as you realize that your wait is over, as well as mine.

Hopefully the current will ease up here soon, just long enough for me to cross.

You have no idea how I yearn to hear those sentiments.
Just to have some hope that I deny myself.
I’d wait a lifetime for the current to ease.

Tell her, send this, whatever you do – just don’t keep
those beautiful words unshared. I hope she knows how
fortunate she be loved like this. Best wishes to you and
may you find your way across.

As soon as I meet her, I will indeed let loose all that my heart pens up (without smothering her of course). :-p Sadly, it is a letter to an unknown face; one I know who is out there waiting for me, as I am for her. 🙂
