To be honest, that was the first time I actually woke up in someone’s arms.
I was never comfortable enough with anybody else to fall asleep. With you? I was out in five minutes. Sure I was tired, but it was more than that… I wanted to fall asleep with you. I trust you.

I remember nuzzling into your neck, giving it a kiss, and brushing my hand against your beard. I fell asleep to your cute quiet snore, and the rhythm of your slowing heartbeat.
When I woke up, my head was against your shoulder, your fingers through my hair. Your other arm was at my waist, and our legs were intertwined. I must have moved as I woke, because you leaned down to kiss my head, then pulled me in closer.

Ready for more honesty? Waking up like that made me wish I never had to sleep alone again. I felt so protected, so safe. Sleeping last night alone was so unbelievably difficult!
I just wanted to feel you against me. I wanted to feel your heartbeat, hear that cute quiet snore of yours…

I’ve felt that exact same feeling. I never wanted it to end.
