For you my soulmate I wish you will find peace of mind. That somewhere in your world you can find a new lease on life.
I wish that you would put the bottle down, so I could learn to too.
But most of all I wish that you could learn to love as much as I love you.
I wish that you could remember when we were 15 and fell in love, but time has passed and drugs have melted your memory like liquid glass.
I wish you could see that hurt you’ve caused, the tears brought to my eyes.
But most of all I wish for you to spread your wings and fly.
I wish for you to uproot my life, tear all the walls down.
Take my hand, the first step, and let’s flee this lonely town.
I wish I told you that we found love in a place that lacks it all.
But time has passed, the clocks on watch, and the minute hand is second to last.
