• I get it…

There is the one he promised to love
The one he has always loved
And the one who realized that you are torn
On a twisted journey with so many different paths to choose

    Am I wrong?

Maybe you don’t know what you want
Maybe you don’t know your heart as well as you thought you did
Maybe it’s time you figured out what you want

What is it that you really want?
When you see yourself 50 years from now…
Where do you want to be?

What kind of life do you want to live?
    What is love to you?
Will that love you see be the same type of love you have 50 years from now?
Or will your definition of love change over a period of time?

    The truth…
I don’t think you even know
It’s one choice that you have to make
    Only one

    Not more
    Hopefully not less
    So who are you?
What is it that you want?

Where is it and who is it that you see yourself growing old with
    because honestly
    I get it now

    If I’m wrong
    Then I’m wrong
But somehow I think I just stood on your side of the fence
And I’m seeing the “real” you for the first time

    And you look really confused…

Lovely expression! of some of life’s bigger and rhetorically-inclined questions that ironically will be answered almost exclusively by vigilance to the ‘smaller’ details we face daily in what CAN seem like a monotonous glob of wasted time. One day at a time.
