• Fighting a Requiem

Late one night, I felt my heart
    Sink into, a deep obis
It was on, a starless night
Moonshine bright, I had to fight

    Juggling between what was real
And the dreams I fought to feel
    Riding through bliss over sight
Stealing the hope of a might

She stirred a passion like the sun
Driving the nail to what I was
    Blinding waves crashed over me
Through unfelt depth yet to see

Like a sun ray upon my skin
Or the brisk wind of fresh snow
The burden had ceased to be
    Calming waves lapped over me

Time fought hard and time grew tough
    As lemons weren’t enough
    Life’s secret was always there
Just as deep as the blue dark stare

    Blinding waves crashed over me
Driven nail on what to be

Spinning in the dust of time
    Whirling changing dime
    Captive by a drunken song
    Loving what felt wrong

    Blinding lips felt so right
    Crashing nail darkened night
