This is a quest for the timid
A call that is not answered
I am floating in lake placid
    Tangled up by the kindred

    Ya I’m swimming
    With my head up
    I’m bewildered by
    The unexpected
    I guess I’ll paddle
    While I’m waiting
    For this scum to clear

    There is pressure rising
    These waves keep on crashing
But I can feel so much more
Cause I’m flying above the waters break
Waiting for my chance to shine

    What’s the wait for?
    When nothing’s there?
    I shouldn’t be searching
    Cause love’s hardly fair

    So I’m swimming
    Head held high
    I’m bewildered by
    The unexpected
    I guess I’ll paddle
    While I’m waiting
    For this silt to clear

    Pressure is rising
    Waves are crashing
But I can feel so much more
Cause that’s what makes me alive

    Maybe I consider life underwater
And it might be nice a little hotter
But diving and flying is so much better
For a chance to live freely again

It’s nice floating as a bobber
In an ocean with my heart
    In fluid motion breathing freely
    Falling softly while dreaming deeply
