Shadows of you are clouding my sunshine.
My sunshine is the only thing I always had.
You came in and confiscated my umbrella
You promised that it would not rain.
In the days before shadows of you
I had my umbrella and the rain was not a fight at all
Now I am drowning in a drizzle.
A monsoon of broken promises and no regrets.
You’re standing in my sunshine and you aren’t facing
Me at all. The wind is here and the clouds are moving in
I can’t think of anyway to pick up my feet and walk away
From all the shadows of you.
