No matter where I stand I always seem to be behind you.
I always see you smile, it brings me joy to see that smile.
but then i realize i’m not the one making you smile.
and then i despair because i know i’m not the one making you smile.

so you can walk ahead of me smiling, and i’ll be here.
because when everyone goes ahead of you, i’ll know.
i’ll know that i will catch up and put you back on to your feet.

but when i do all i ask from you is for your to smile.

Profound. I feel every single word as if they were mine – usually.
Now: How does a beaten Nihilist keep on walking, when the feet stop carrying their weight?
