In the burrows of my heart I ache for you
I know your absence is intentional
And I know that it is permanent
But in the burrows of my heart I long for you
I know that time will blur the memories
And distance will dull the pain
Still in the burrows of my heart I preserve you.
The burrows of my heart will remember you.
You are the first to find a home in my heart and
Pieces of you are engraved there.
My heart now beats its very own song
And as much as I miss Ours
This song, My own song, Is keeping me alive
So I ask you to stop knocking on my door
Because I am still learning this song
    And it demands much concentration
My heart is beating its very own song and
I’m asking you not to sing along.
