• Walking On the Moon

    It started last year.
This growing urge to be with you.
This constant image of your face in my dreams.
The car ride was the the mortar for the affection.
The music and conversation the bricks.
Somehow you found yourself opening up to me.
And this year I did the same to you.
You view me as a child, if only you knew my view of you.
I’m leaving soon, it’s quite possible I won’t see you for years to come.
Our lives will move on, as is the way of the world.
The only thing certain is that my love for you won’t change.
You are truly an amazing person.
Your past is dark, but your future is as bright as the new day’s dawn.
I only wish that it were with me.
So many things left unsaid, so many things that can’t be expressed.
When I had to leave you again, I felt as though my legs broke.
I guess I walked on the moon for too long.
