Dear best friend of 7 years,
I remember the first time we spoke in 10th grade. I remember the first time we hung out with our group of friends at a hockey game. I remember our friendship building stronger and stronger throughout the years. I remember the best summer of my life spent with you and the “KR3W”. Then, I remember falling in love with you. I remember wanting to be with you so bad. I remember talking to our friends about it. I remember talking to you about it. I remember you saying you didn’t want to ruin our friendship, but what I don’t remember is why?
Why not take the risk? The chance to fail, but the chance to gain something so special that nothing else compares. I am reminded of how perfect you are every time we are together, and I feel the same way for you now that I did in High School. Why can’t you just see it they way I do? Why can’t you just feel the way I feel? I would do anything for you, if it meant you were happy.
The point of this letter is to tell you that I am willing to wait forever for you. Call me crazy, but I know you are the one for me. No matter the circumstance, I will always be there for you. I will never turn my back on you, and I will always love you.
The boy, now man, who still loves you.
