I want to thank you. Thank you for being my very best friend. Thank you for not judging me and thank you for taking me as I am. Thank you for making me feel good abut myself when others put me down. Thank you for understanding me. I don’t know how you do it, but you always seem to understand what I’m trying to say. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for being there for the first time my heart got broken, and I was a crying mess, and you listened to my story and then the first thing you said was “I’m gonna break that jerks face.” I would have never guessed when we were 12 and I met you in the school cafeteria that years later we would be as close as we are. It’s funny how life works out, isn’t it? Derek, thank you for being who you are. Your not perfect, and you think I am, but heck, I’m such a mess on the inside sometimes and I don’t think I could make it without you. Whenever I’m really really upset and there are things that Annie won’t understand, thank you for listening and trying to help me. You’re the best, and I love you.
