Lost at Sea in the middle of an endless ocean
the waves carry me, strangely cradle,
rock me into numbness with a tight grip

Every once in a while I get a glimpse of the beaches
Beautiful, Heaven like, illuminated with hopes

Struggling, paddling with my last breath
I try again to reach shore

Once again the tide pulls me further and further away

Fearfully awaking to this sweet sound
    This so familiar voice whispering
“Follow me love, home Susie, you’re safe”

While surrendering with no strength left, gazing up
I already feel the Storm waves washing over me
those howling winds laughingly erase all words of comfort

I know nothing else but the endless sea
wanting to break free just to find myself pulled under
over and over and over again

    Realizing there is no escape
With smiles into the faces of cyclones
    Strength emerging from nowhere
Fighting for life with hopes never fulfilled

As I let go, my last fight is this scream into the void
“You have me, now let me drown in peace”

and while the depth pulls on my feet to finalize the deed
I close my eyes for a last look
    of you…
