Once upon a time you loved me. and I loved you too.
we had the best time, you made my first year of college the best thing I could ever ask for. Long nights on the beach and movies every friday, falling asleep at he drive in, sneaking around your barracks so you wouldn’t get in trouble. baseball games on warm nights, fireworks, nights in the city. I thought you gave me everything that i wanted. I thought you loved me.
moving back home and saying that temporary good bye was so hard,
the distance hurt us both, don’t you get that.
turns out distance wasn’t the problem was it?
you new girlfriend is prettier than me and older and more successful than me but she lives twice as far as me.
you changed your mind and said i was too serious about my future and you couldn’t handle that… i don’t know exactly what you meant. but thank you.
Up until you said that I wasn’t serious about my future, you tricked me into thinking it would all be ok. and i believed you.
For the time i was with you I neglected things that mean the world to me, and you let me do that, you encouraged it. i wasn’t my best with you, i was what you wanted.
You broke my heart. and it’s hard to say but thank you.
now that your gone I get a second chance at a stronger relationship with God and a chance to find a man that wants to help build me up in my faith, someone who i can grow together with, a chance at finding true love.
You broke my heart and tore me to pieces and still through all that God is ALWAYS good. Thank you Taylor.
