I left you today. I drove 300 miles to see you in your hometown, to see where you grew up, your home, your family, and where you became the wonderful guy you are today. I wanted to cry the whole time I drove home, but I refused with my dad next to me in the passenger seat.
I just want you to know that I loved every minute of it. I loved walking in the woods, holding your hand, kissing beneath the trees. I loved going to your favorite restaurants and watching you pack away the food like a typical teenage boy. I loved seeing your room, your dogs and cats, and those millions of stars that light up the Milky Way. I loved dancing in that parking lot, listening to Crash Into Me and That’s So You. I loved laying in that field with you holding me. And I’d give anything to be back there this second. But that’s not the real world, so I’ll have to take seeing you in six weeks back in Phoenix, when we can be together again. No one has ever made me happy like you do.
I love you Jon,
