He is so sweet, polite, smart, funny, he is everything I’ve ever wanted in someone. Sadly, neither one of us is allowed to date. Our parents don’t like us talking to each other and on top of that, he lives all the way across the country. We talk frequently, but we never are able to really voice our emotions. It’s almost as if we love each other so much we can’t even comprehend what we are feeling. Everything I do is for him. I have a 4.0 GPA, I’m on the mock trial team, the science olympiad team, I play violin and piano as well an assortment of mallet percussion instruments. I’m on the tennis team and I also keep up with swim team. I just want him to see me, to know I’ll always be there for him. The thing is though, I don’t really need a boyfriend, I just want a really good friend first and if that grows to something more then I’d be perfectly happy seeing where it takes me, but I’m afraid that the reason our relationship won’t work out is because it’s forced. We love each other, but it’s like the rest of the world already has it figured out that we’re already meant to be together. How come the rest of the world knows what is best for us when we don’t know ourselves? I’m his girl and he is my boy, but that’s it. At least, that’s it for now.
