    The passing of cars
    is the lullaby you sing
    i won’t sleep this night
there is nothing better i could dream
    spending this night with you
    and having you close
let’s pray morning this never shows

    we’re both left laying outside
    looking at the stars
    i’m laying on your chest
    wrapped up in your arms
    afraid to move

and the way you look at me
    it makes me smile
    seeing those eyes light up
    just for the while
    that i’m with you

    what you want to know
    i try to verbalize
    these feelings about you
you see it in my eyes
but the silence shouts over me

    the passing of cars
    is the lullaby you sing
    i won’t sleep this night
there is nothing better i could dream
    spending this night with you
    and having you close
let’s pray this morning never shows

    Pray for reality
    seeing you this time
i don’t want it to end
    i left morning behind
but the end is on its way

i don’t want to be alone
    time seems to move fast
    the sun burns the horizon
    i want our night back
    pray the sun won’t show

let us pray morning never shows
