You’re going to be at my graduation Saturday.

    Not in a seat.

Not standing in the back with that silly grin.

You’re going to be right next to me.

You’re going to be my gown when I put it on at 6am.

You’re going to be my tassel flopping in my face as I walk down the aisle.

You’re going to be my diploma when i “take with the left, shake with my right”

You’re going to be my principal when he says “Proud of you.”

You’re going to be my cap as I throw it in the air.

You’re going to be at my graduation Saturday, whether you like it or not.

    See you there, Grandpa.

This put tears in my eyes. I just recently lost my Grandad and can’t imagine going through my life’s major events without him. He was like a father to me and my best friend. When I felt lonely I’d always call him and he’d cheer me up. Thank you for reminding me that no matter how lonely I feel or what major event is going on that he’s always there by my side whether he likes it or not! 🙂
