We had been friends since sophomore year of high school and I had always really liked you. You even took me to a dance that year but immediately after started dating one of my best friends even though I know you liked me.

Now it’s sophomore year of college and we’re finally together and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been with someone. You get me and you understand me in a way that no one else can, and I love you for that. I hate that we’re so far away from each other. It seems unfair that when we finally do figure things out we can’t be together, doesn’t it?

I know we talk about getting married all the time, but I want you to know that I really do mean it, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

    I love you.
