I hate Facebook.
Now this site has the potential to connect young adults all over the world, but from personal experience, I’ve discovered that we use it wrong. Instead of focusing on networking with others, I find myself checking my Facebook chat every 10 minutes to see if you are on.
I look at your profile all day long, wondering if you will write on my wall, send me a message, or chat me. It was hard when you didn’t text back, but now its harder because I know you’re online, I see you there, and you never answer.
When you choose to talk to other people than me, the agony is multiplied by 10 times. It takes a minute to meet someone and a lifetime to forget someone. When I look at your wall or check your updates, or wait for your call, I am constantly reminded of the person you are.
I dream of a world where I won’t have to check my Facebook, email, or cell phone in order to see if you care and love me.
