• The “Perfect” Relationship

Everyone tells me how lucky I am to have you as my boyfriend.

And for the most part, I agree with them. I shouldn’t be complaining. I’m in a wonderful relationship with someone who loves me back.

However, we’ve been dating for 9 months and living together for 3. Never once have you done anything that could be construed as romantic or thoughtful. You cook dinner, but that’s one of your contributions to our life together.

Meanwhile, I’ve gone out of my way to plan trips together, throw parties for your friends, which includes buying everything. I leave you notes to tell you that I’m thinking about you. I make sure your coffee is brewing when you wake up every morning.

And when I mention it to you, you say “someday when I have more money”. I’m not looking for anything that costs money. I understand that I make more money then you do. I’m looking for any sort of gesture that you want me to be happy as much as I want you to be happy.

I’m not a “romance” type of gal but after 9 months together, I feel like I’m alone in this one.
