    I love you…but I can’t say that, right?

I love all of the time we spend together more than anything else I do…but I can’t say that, right?

Every time I see your goofy smile, my heart starts fluttering like the wings of the butterflies in my stomach…but I can’t say that, right?

You make me laugh more than everyone else I know combined…but I can’t say that, right?

You are the one I want to be with whether I’m crying alone in my room or having a hyper day…but I can’t say that, right?

Thoughts of you fill my head when I lay it down on my pillow every night…but I can’t say that, right?

Everything reminds me of you…but I can’t say that, right?

Every time I see you, I want to run up to you and jump into your arms…but I can’t say that, right?

Whenever we watch movies together, I want you to pull me close and hold me…but I can’t say that, right?

I want to spend every second I have with you…but I can’t say that, right?

When I tell you what I look for in a guy, I’m describing you…but I can’t say that, right?

When you play your guitar, I want you to sing to ME…but I can’t say that, right?

I want to be with you…but I can’t say that, right?

I love you…but I can’t say that, right? because we are best friends and we will always simply be best friends, right?

Just say it and get it over with. It’s better than the lie you’re both living. Step up to the line and see if you can take this from fantasy to reality. If it works, great. If not, at least you’ll be free to have something REAL. Maybe this isn’t about him setting the “don’t say it” boundary. Maybe it’s about you wanting to be safe in your fantasy, so you don’t have to risk anything in the real world. Just do it. You won’t die.
