• I love you, but not like that

I always tell you that I love you more than you are tall, I’m not lying when I say that. However I love you as a friend. You are the love of my life in that sense. Sadly I know that you love me like you should love a boyfriend. I know it seems like I look at you like a girlfriend, but the sad and ugly truth is that I can be casual about those kinds of things when I want to be. Besides, I’m all wrong for you, and to be honest, we are too good for each other. If that makes any sense, but it probably does not. Never mistake this for me wanting you out of my life, because as I said before I never lied when I say that I love you more than you are tall.

It would make me sad to see you go, but it would not be the first time this has happened. So if we can’t talk anymore, if you never want to see me again, and if you delete me off your facebook I’ll totally understand, hell I would do the same in your place. But you really should know that I really do love you just not like that, and I will always remember and love you. You are one of my closest friends, and I want us to stay that way.

    Your friend.

This is so sad… and at the same time, it must be so freeing. I do hope you two remain friends. If I were the one receiving this letter, that’s the choice I’d make. Better friends than nothing.
